To get there head up past masonville as if your heading to the back side of Rist canyon. Turn left on 44h. About a mile down there is a parking lot for OHV users. Park here and take the dirt road west up the canyon. This is a long easy climb on a graded dirt road. When you get to the rangers station keep going straight and follow the signs to Pennock Pass. This road does get shut down in the winter. Once your up over Pennock pass and down the other side you will take a right at 63e. Follow this down till you get to M135 Monument gulch road. Turn right here. The turn off is right before a bridge. If you go over the bridge you have gone to far. Take M135 up about 200 yards till you see the sign for old flowers road. Turn left here. The road is a 4x4 trail that has a few fun descents. After a while you will get to a sign that says you are on entering private property. You can keep going at this point. The road itself is open to the public but the land around it is considered private. Once you get past the stone buildings you will come to the paved intersectin at the back side of rist canyon. Take a right here and head down to 44h. Turn right here and head back to your car. Overall this is a good track for getting some good long and hilly base miles in on a mountian bike. The daring might be able to do this on a cross bike. It is mostly non technical and mostly on graded gravel roads. The few DH parts are fast and fun with some ruts that you have to be carefull on.
